Mt Besiktas Scotland/ imo no.:9350745 had an incident asf; On 13th. mar./2011-sun. while she was sailing to the St. Petersburg, loadport, in ballast condition, she stucked in the thick ice at 06:00 lt (03:00 utc) on the way to St. Petersburg and then main engine was stopped, the position and stuck condition was reported to the St. Petersburg VTS and the local agent accordingly. When mt Besiktas Scotland had the collision at 12:32 lt (09:32 utc), mt Besiktas Scotland had been waiting for assistance of icebreaker for 6 hours in the same position of lat.: 60deg 02.72min n. and long.: 029deg 08.88min e. A general cargo vessel, was leaving St. Petersburg in laden condition, caused collision because she lost her control and hit the mt Besiktas Scotland from starboard bow of the vessel. She caused damaged at starboard bow and bulb of the mt Besiktas Scotland. After damage determined, all her equipments tested and all're working in good order. Master's initial report, circulated to all relevant parties. Due to incident, no harm to people, sea pollution or any damage/lost occured.
